Q: How can workers organize or join a union?

A: The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) will conduct an election in the workplace to determine if the workers want union representation, if they receive a petition from workers who are qualified to join or organize a union chapter. If this election shows the workers want union organization, union representatives may hold an organizational meeting. Employers are barred from interference in any part of this organizing process.
